About Ms. London
Ms. LaKiesha London serves as the Director of the Program for Successful Employment (PSE) at Baton Rouge Community College. With a strong commitment to supporting diverse educational opportunities, LaKiesha plays an important role in fostering an inclusive learning environment. A proud alumna of Baton Rouge Community College, LaKiesha earned an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Business Management. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Environmental Services, a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling, and she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at the University of Alabama, furthering her dedication to academic excellence and leadership in education. Additionally, LaKiesha is a certified rehabilitation counselor.
LaKiesha has over eight years of experience serving the community through various state and federal agencies, demonstrating a strong commitment to public service and community engagement.
In addition to her professional and academic achievements, she is a dedicated member of various advisory councils and committees. She oversees the PSE Advisory Committee. She serves as an at-large member of BRCC’s Faculty Senate, and is an active member of the Postsecondary Inclusive Education Advisory Council (PIEAC), the Louisiana Alliance of Postsecondary Inclusive Education (LAPIE), and the Southeast Postsecondary Education Alliance Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee (SEPSEA DEI).
LaKiesha's journey is also marked by her service to her country, during her time in the U.S. Air Force, reflecting a commitment to duty, service before self, and resilience. Her diverse experiences and leadership roles underscore a career dedicated to empowering individuals and advocating for inclusive educational practices.​
