It may be a little too early to pack your bags, but it's definitely the perfect time to grab your tickets, hotel reservations, and flights to join us for the 2025 NeurodivURGENT Conference on July 17-19 at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans.
In case you need a little extra motivation, here are three reasons why you should start making plans today!
Reason #1: We're (Actually) Breaking The Silence And Silos
The NeurodivURGENT Conference is unlike any of its kind in that it will bring together a vast array of professionals from over eight different fields to engage in collaborative, interdisciplinary strategic planning. This work will be intentionally geared toward fostering substantive change in the design and delivery of wraparound services to neurodivergent youth. Of course we'll have some traditionally-delivered speeches and panels, but unlike most conferences, the bulk of our programming will consist of engaging workshops and strategy sessions around real-life issues that impact the plights of neurodivergent youth. Participating disciplines include, but are not limited to, law/legal profession, education, social work, psychology, neuroscience, public health, policy/public service and medicine.
Reason #2: We're Practicing What We Preach
When we say that we believe in the importance of crafting places for neurodivergent individuals to thrive, we mean just that -- as evidenced by the design of the conference itself. From our carefully curated gift bag items to our sensory-friendly lounges, and periodic sensory breaks, every moment of the conference is designed to emphasize the importance of leading by example. In fact, even our game night activities have been designed to feature surprises that emphasize the importance of embodying empathy while engaging as helping professionals and private individuals.
Reason #3: Bigger Than A Conference: We're Building A Community
Not only are we eager to provide you with the space and resources to formulate meaningful connections and viable solutions "during" the conference. Beyond that, we're also committed to helping you actually see those solutions to fruition. Given that our founder and several members of our team are neurodivergent, we understand all too well how difficult it can be to follow through on even the most brilliant ideas without accountability structures in place for when the novelty wears off. To solve this issue, we've developed the NeurodivURGENT Collaborative, a community designed to offer ongoing professional development and to assist members in keeping themselves and each other encouraged and motivated at every step.
Eager to connect sooner? Register for the conference today for access to our Pre-Conference Connect virtual and in-person programming beginning this March!
